Industrial Crab consists of suitable gear for traversing the Crab to and fro motion along the crane's main bridge girders, which is mounted on a frame that is in turn fastened on at least four wheels. The crab wheels are driven by two rail sections located on the main bridge's top flange. Industrial Crab is utilised in EOT cranes with two girders. Industry participants are now designing and developing CRAB units to achieve cost effectiveness. This requires very low maintenance and replacement costs.
